    Language is something which helps human to communicate their feelings and Express their thoughts.
    It is a willful act where humans wants to get connected with others.

    Without language communication wont be possible even song language is a language which Express ones thoughts and feelings.
    Languages also expressed the cultural of the human and the society in which he or she live in.
    It is impossible to seperate language and culture
    Hence we can say that langugae is set of human habits.

    Language is a means of conveying ideas to others. It is made of signs and sounds. Language is used by humans to express their thoughts, feelings, ideas and experiences. Language has helped in growth of civilization. Language has given a special place to human as compared to other strong animals. It is impossible for Humans to live with out Language. Hence we can say Language is a set human habit.

    1 Language is Systematic - All the languages have its own rules of formation, which is known as Grammar. Grammar help in formation of correct sentence that gives correct meaning to understand what one wants to communicate

    2 Language is social - Language is social by nature, thus language has helped in formation of human civilization. It helps to communicate with each other in society.

    3 Language can be learnt - No human are born with knowledge of Language but a new born can make some sounds. With the efforts and combination of these sounds a child can learn language over the period of time. Also grown-ups can learn new / foreign language with efforts.

    Language is Symbolic:

    Language consists of various sound symbols and their graphological counterparts that are employed to denote some objects, occurrences or meaning. These symbols are arbitrarily chosen and conventionally accepted and employed. Words in a language are not mere signs or figures, but symbols of meaning. The intelligibility of a language depends on a correct interpretation of these symbols

    1 Expressive Function. one of the functions of a linguistic sign, consisting in the ability to express the speaker's emotional state and his subjective attitude toward designated objects and phenomena of reality. Expression can be conveyed through the use of various linguistic elements.

    2 Social Function - It has been said time and again that language is social. It is a means of communication between members of a community, or between a community and community.


    3 Cultural Function - As a "language is a part of the culture of a people and the chief means by which the members of a society communicate", it is wedded to culture, is inseparable from it and, hence performs a cultural function. The content of every culture is expressible in its language.


    4Intellectual aspect- It is through language that one can express one’s thoughts, needs, desires etc. It helps an individual to express abstract things and ideas.
