  1. Classroom assesment involve teachers in continuous monitoring students learning
    and students can measure their progress as learners.
    In classroom in lectures only or at the end of the lecture when questions are asked to students it gives a insight about how much students have understood and teachers have delivered successfully.
    It also helps to know what is students retaining capacity when asked a sa.e question after few days.

  2. Classroom assessment involves both teacher and the students to know the students performance. It helps teacher to get feedback about its teaching and it helps students to analyze its performance. 

    Types of Assessment 
    1. Formative Assessment : It includes not giving marks for completion of task but rather contribute learning through feedback.It is integral part of learning and teaching.

    2. Informal assessment : It includes assessment when the teacher ask question during lectures, give task to complete. It is consider as less stressful for students.

    3. Formal assesment : This type of assesment take place when students are aware that they are doing particular task for assesment i.e. written exam.

    4. Continuous assesment : Continuous assesment helps teacher and students to bring out improvement needed in learning and teaching process.

    5. Placement Assesment : It is useful for the teacher to place student in a particular task for a academic programme.
    E.g a student well versed with sports knowledge will be given task to look after the sports events of school.

    A formative assessment is an in-process evaluation done while students are learning. If students are having trouble understanding a particular subject or skill, this type of test setup can help teachers gauge where students are and figure out a plan for what happens next.

  6. Classroom assessment is a critical aspect of the teaching learning process. It is important for a teacher to strategically assess the performance of students. It is process where both teachers and students are involved.

    Classroom assessment is best suited in students learning by quiz, test, assignments etc. this teacher can administer on a regular basis in the classroom. It give immediate results and are easy to analyse. It helps teachers to guide the students as per their individual need. Classroom assessments also help students to evaluate their learning and take the corrective measures immediately with the help of teacher.

    Types of assessment - there are different types of assessment which is use in the classroom. Dynamic assessment, diagnostic assessment, summative assessment and formative assessment.

    Assessment of learning
    It occurs when teacher use evidence of students learning to make judgements on students achievements against goals and standards. Here, the teachers have the responsibility of reporting students learning accurately and fairly on the basis of evidence obtained from a variety of contexts and applications

    Assessment for learning
    It occurs when teachers use inferences about students progress to inform their teaching. It is formal or informal in nature eg: quality questioning, written communication etc. It provides students with information and guidance so they can plan and manage the next steps in their learning

    Assessment as Learning
    It occurs when students reflect on and monitor their progress to inform their future learning goals. It is regularly occurring, formal and informal for eg:peer feedback, formal self assessment helps students to take responsibility for their own past and future learning. It also provides students with regular and challenging opportunities to practice so that the students can become confident, competent self assessors.
